The singer known as "Mr. Big Stuff" Jean Knight has passed away at the age of 80.

Knight, whose classic song from 1971 was at the top of the charts for five weeks, passed away in her birthplace of New Orleans on Wednesday, according to a statement released by her family that was published by New Orleans broadcaster LBJ on X (previously known as Twitter) on Sunday.
