FDA Recalls Shrimp from Walmart

BREAKING: 🍤🦐The FDA is sounding the alarm over shrimp sold at @Walmart under its Great Value brand, warning the public not to eat or sell certain lots that may have been exposed to radiation. Here’s what we know: Inspectors detected Cesium-137, a radioactive material, in shipping containers and in a related breaded shrimp sample from an Indonesian supplier, BMS Foods. While none of the Walmart shrimp itself tested positive, the FDA says it was processed under questionable conditions at the same facility — and they aren’t taking chances. The recall affects three specific lots of Great Value frozen raw shrimp with a best-by date of March 15, 2027. The lot codes are 8005540-1, 8005538-1, and 8005539-1.
